Exploring the Reykjanes peninsula

Reykjanes peninsula with a lot to see

Southwestern point of Iceland - which we are going to round in two days

Big boulders washed up on the shore by the sea

Gunnuhver thermal springs

They collect the hot steam to generate electricity

Lava pool - to stormy for a swim

The waves crashing on the rocks and spray high in the air

Beautiful black beaches

Old fishing houses, inhabited from the early 14th until 140 years ago

Strong women ;-)

Quiet place, because there is no real road leading there

Next morning a short trip to the Leiđarendi lavacave

Walking deeper into the 900m long lavacave

A long time ago the magma flowed through here

Again and again we had to crawl through below
